Makayla is a Portland native. She chose a career in hair early on in her twenties and she truly believes it allowed her to stumble upon the best career out there! According to her, hairdressing has it all: empowering someone, having fun with them, and all while being creative! Each new client that sits in her chair is a new friend to her and she genuinely loves getting to hear what makes them unique! She is a natural at making people feel confident, powerful, and beautiful. Makayla chose Annastasia Salon because, in her opinion, the staff treats each other like family and she values learning and growing together. “My coworkers truly inspire me to work harder and be the best stylist I can be! ”
Makayla’s favorite services are fashion bobs and lobs, balayage, and blonding! She especially looks forward to big transformational looks and getting a chance to help teach her guests how to get the most satisfying results on their own at home.
When Makayla is not at work she is most likely spending time with her friends at a local coffee shop, wine tasting in the countryside, or singing karaoke at a local dive bar. She loves to travel and when she can’t get abroad she explores the Pacific Northwest. You can find her hiking the Gorge in the summers and snowboarding Mount Hood in the winters!
