Jay is a GA peach in the great state of Oregon! She moved to Oregon in the fall of 2024 and has loved her time getting to know her new community here.

She became a stylist in 2021 beginning her career as a barber and has always loved cutting hair. She worked in a barbershop for 2 years, then owned her own business renting a salon suite for a year and a half. She has been with Annastasia since moving to Oregon and is thankful for the community offered through the salon. She became a stylist to connect with people, always encouraged by the opportunity to bear burdens and listen to everyone in her chair. When someone is coming to get their hair done, she wants each person to have a cool and relaxing appointment – feeling heard, making jokes, or just quietly enjoying. Each person should feel heard and seen from entrance to exit!

As well as connecting with people, she also loves the ability to use precise skill and creativity in tandem to create someone’s new look. She is all about the visual – taking the canvas and bringing the client’s look to fruition. With the leading favorite still being barbering, she also has developed a love for curly cuts, lived in blondes/brunettes, and REDS. She gets the redhead life.

When not behind the chair, Jay loves music (listening, playing, singing – the whole jam), spending time talking with friends, and being involved in her church community!
