A note from Luke

A note from Luke Huffstutter, owner of Annastasia Salon:

These last few weeks have brought unimaginable new challenges to work through. No one is unaffected. My heart breaks for those who are suffering right now but I am proud to see our salon community, Multnomah Village, Portland, and the world, step up to help everyone to the best of our abilities. We have no choice but to face this new landscape with patience, diligence, and love for each other. We are truly all in this together and I want to personally thank all of our guests who have shown support in so many different ways.

Annastasia Salon is a big family. We are committed to our guests and to each other. I believe good business puts its employees first and that has fostered a very special dynamic for you, our guests, and for our team. We go through life’s ups and downs together and we try not to take the good things for granted. We have an active team message board and enjoy finding new ways to stay connected and share ideas. I’ve been having zoom fireside chats with the staff so that we can all be informed and together and informed. Since we are closed until the situation improves, this will be a challenging time and there’s no choice but to get creative.

We treasure the relationships we have with our guests and want to do everything we can to make sure they feel cared for and supported. We have never felt more grateful to have such an incredible roster of clients. Those individual relationships are the heart and soul of our craft. The team has sent me numerous messages telling me how much they miss you and their work. They miss the chance to create beauty and do it in what we all hope feels like a sanctuary for any that enter our building.

Reach out to your stylist if you have any concerns or questions. They are here for you! If you don’t have their contact info, let us know at frontdesk@annastasias.com. We will get them your contact info and they will reach out.

We hope you will use this time at home to be good to yourselves! It’s a perfect time to experiment, to play, to relax, and to feel beautiful for yourself. We can’t wait to see you on the other side of this! Dream up your next big look and we will be there when this ends to make it a reality!

Thank you for allowing us to serve you. Take care!

P.S. We have had lots of requests to help in this crazy time. Thank you! The team has been furloughed until we can open again.  Below are a few ways you can help. Pick one, two, or all seven! Some don’t even cost a dime!

1. Schedule a future appointment

2. Buy a gift card at Annastasias.com and use it when you come in to see us

3. Tag them in a selfie

4. Write them a Yelp or Google review

5. Refer a friend

6. Send a caring message

7. Venmo them a tip
